Koh Samui | At which Beach should I book my hotel!

Part 1 : Bophut Beach

Bophut Beach around Fishermans Village is *the place to be | or to book a hotel at the moment*.

There are wonderful hotels around Bophut Beach and most of them are operating, enough small little Thai Restaurants on the main road to get your local Thai Food. 7/11, Family Mart’s, Tesco Express are open as well for your daily shopping.

Bophut Beach

Hotels at Bophut Beach which are open at the moment:

  • Ibis Hotel
  • Samui Palm Beach
  • Celes Beach Resort
  • Peace Resort
  • Bophut Resort
  • Anantara Bophut
  • Hansar Samui
  • Smile House
Anantara Bophut

Of course, these hotels have a very low occupancy rate, but it is simply wonderful to enjoy the peace and quiet and especially to discover the secluded beach for yourself.

The small restaurants outside the hotels are open from noon to around 9 p.m., the shops around Bophut are currently open until 10 p.m. at the latest.

Getting a taxi in this area is also not a problem.

In Fishermans Village itself there is little going on during the day time , but there are 3 coffee shops that are open from 7 a.m. onwards where you can get fresh bread, pastries and a great breakfast if you don’t want to have one at your hotel or just want to enjoy a coffee on or near the beach .

The Summer Restaurant
The Shack Steakhouse

The restaurants in Fishermans Village open from around 5.30 p.m. and you don’t feel lost in relation to other beaches and their offers – yes – there is a little movement in the small village. Here we recommend the following:

“Coco Tams” is a great option in the evening for a drink to enjoy the great atmosphere on the beach, “The Summer” is a great opportunity for lunch or brunch, in the evening * The Shack * our best steakhouse on the island, * 2 Fishes * for some Mediterranean food, * Krua Bophut * for classic Thai in a great atmosphere, of course * Happy Elephant * with various offers or * Karma Pasta * if you want to enjoy Italian for a change.
